It is never too early or too late to start teaching manners as long as we set a good model for them. Children use us as an example and mirror your acts. Teaching manners directly starts with 2 years old. It begins with acting as you do, asking them to say thank you although they don’t understand the reason or meaning of that. As they grow to be 5-7 years old, you can direct manners for several occasions and locations.
