How do I teach my 7 year old son to overcome overreacting?

We need to teach them to Plan it properly by: 1. Set the expectation 2. Talk it through 3. Once you know the triggers for overreacting you need to break them down and give them the doses that they overreact on little by little. 4. Praise that behavior and teach them to use this technique.
