With over 30 years of experience in the field of Education and Educational Psychology across the UK and the Middle East, Ruba brings expertise, evidence-based practice, empathy and passion to her work. Ruba obtained her doctoral degree from University College London (UCL) in 2012 with a focus on school development and reform. She is registered with the Health and Care Professions Council, UK and the Community Development Authority in Dubai. Ruba’s work in the UK, UAE and wider within the GCC and MENA region has given her an international expertise and a multi-cultural approach to her work. This exposure has given Ruba insight and in-depth knowledge of various cultures and school curricula facilitating innovative and inspired solutions for the families, children and the stakeholders she supports. As a psychologist, teacher and mother, Ruba is an advocate of inclusion, the wellbeing of students, their parents and school communities. Her experience covers all aspects of child and education psychology. An expert in Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND) and Wellbeing, she has developed and monitored the implementation of remedial, educational and developmental programmes for children aged 3 to 19 years. As clinical director at the Developing Child Center, Ruba had responsibility for strategy, business development and for managing a team of practitioners. She led multidisciplinary teams in complex cases. More recently she took on the role of education advisor at Abudhabi Department of Education and Knowledge leading on their wellbeing strategy. أقل

Thank you for your question . I am not sure what you mean by "not being cooperative"  and I don't know your child's age so I will provide some general comments.
1. Try to understand where her challenges are, maybe ask her teacher. If a skill can be identified then it gives you something to work on .
2. Talk to her teachers and try to identify friends who will show more interest ( parents too)
3. Is she trying to connect with the right people? Is she approaching people of similar interests?
4 If your child is a teenager, then mum's are less likely to get involved which is why they may not be cooperative..
5. Expand her circle of possible friends through joining after school activities
